PROJEKT
Efficient criminal proceedings are often caught in the tension between legal hearing and rapid enforcement of sanctions. With our penal order project, which was launched in 2019 in cooperation with the Law Clinic of the Free University of Berlin, we offer recipients of penal orders free, impartial legal advice. Find out more about our initiative, background and goals:
PARTICIPATION
Our project combines theory and practice: law students can gain valuable insights into criminal law practice, while lawyers contribute their expertise and support those seeking advice with questions about penal orders. Volunteer and become part of a team that is committed to access to qualified legal advice!

Since April 15, 2019, the Association of Berlin Criminal Defense Lawyers and the FU Law Clinic - Practice of Criminal Defense have been offering free legal advice to recipients of penal orders. The advice is provided in a personal conversation with experienced lawyers who are supported by students. No attorney-client relationship is created.
The consultation takes place every Monday and Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Köpenicker Straße 175, 10997 Berlin. Registration is not required. Telephone information is available at the same times on (030) 4036 579 30.
Please note that no consultation requests can be processed via email. The consultation is currently only held in German. If a translation is necessary, please bring someone with you who can assist with the translation. In addition, all relevant documents should be brought to the appointment.
